Scope of the Role:

Primarily, this role is responsible for the estimation of bespoke luxury retail fabrication projects, whilst offering expertise and support to our Fabrication Production Management team where capacity allows.

The initial responsibility involves a thorough understanding and interpretation of client briefs, ensuring they align clearly and concisely with the Project Team and the client requirements.

A critical aspect of this role is identifying the most effective and efficient production practices, appropriate material usage, and, when required, vendor solutions, while also comprehensively costing each aspect.

Following this, the role requires clear communication with the Project and Fabrication departments, providing context to ensure our proposals not only meet the intentions of the brief but also manage expectations of all stakeholders.

On a day-to-day basis, this role involves constant interaction with the Project Coordination and Fabrication Management teams. This includes overseeing a project from its concept stage to delivery, within a dynamic and high-pressure production environment. Throughout this process, maintaining a focus on quality, budget, and timely delivery is paramount.

The nature of our industry is that working ad hoc additional hours, or out of normal working hours, can be expected as a normal function of this role.

Paid overtime, or time in lieu, is not provided for this.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
UNIVERSALOperating with integrity – performing whole and complete work for and with all Echocolleagues, clients and suppliers alike.

In depth training is provided as a core part of all new starters' induction.

In addition, with such a nuanced and bespoke business, on–the–job learning remains the single most effective way to learn what we do and how we do it.

CORE KNOWLEDGE BASEFabrication and material knowledge – in particular with regard to build capabilities and restrictions, and best practice for luxury retail environments.

Creative production understanding – in particular with knowledge of luxury retail fabrication (temporary and permanent).Commercial acumen.
Comprehensive supplier & outsourcing skills.
Knowledge of large format graphics is ideal. CORE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITYProduction of accurate estimates with clear and concise explanation of assumptions, compromises and suggestions.
Production Management of works as and when required. General department support as and when required.

MAIN DUTIES:


Aligning with the project team and occasionally clients on their requirements, details of their briefs and managing expectations where necessary.

Estimation of fabrication works.
Creatively providing cost saving or quality raising adjustments or alternatives to client briefs.
Troubleshooting briefs and requests from clients.
Establishing CPAs for works in collaboration with the Project and Fabrication Management teams.
