Registered Manager - Learning Disabilities Stockport, SK8

Salary £30,121

Hours 35 per week (to be worked flexibly across the week to meet the demands of the service and therefore may include evenings and weekends)


Time Recruitment are working exclusively with a sector leading Charity that provides high quality, person centred individual and group-based services for Children, Young People and Adults.

They are looking for a Registered Manager to join one of their Residential Services based in Cheadle. which provides support to 13 adults with cerebral palsy and associated complex physical and learning disabilities.


As the Registered Manager of the service, you will work with the Head of Operations to deliver and manage a high-quality service that meets the compliance and regulatory standards as set out by the CQC.

You will direct the staff team and be accountable forthe effective operational management of the Service working to enhance the quality of residents' lives and enable them to live as independently as possible.

You will work pro-actively to ensure that effective and suitable support is provided at all times.

The Registered Manager will also be required to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, other Health and Social Care professionals,residents and carers.


This role also involves working collaboratively with the wider Operational Management Team to ensure a consistent and quality service is delivered in all areas across the Charity.


Duties include:

  • As a highly motivated, creative, and practical person, you will manage and lead a team of support staff and oversee the day to day running of the service.
  • You will be supporting and responsible to the Registered Service Manager in this role.
  • You will be expected to work on your own initiative, to ensure the schemes are wellled and meeting CQC standards whilst ensuring the needs and aspirations of people supported are being met and evidenced.
  • We would expect you to have good communication skills, be able to manage a staff team, enjoy a challenge and be flexible.
  • Postholder will be required to work Monday to Friday, including some unsociable hours, with On Call and Standby duties during evenings and weekends, in accordance with the needs of the service.

Applicants must have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in the Health & Social care sector
  • Minimum of 3 years staff management experience
  • To hold the Registered Managers Award or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards this within the first 12 months of employment
  • Experience in service development would be preferred but is not essential
