We are looking for someone who will provide the delivery of personal alarm services, to subscribing customers, and be the visiting service to those who subscribe.
You will have regular contact with customers, staff, local authority, statutory and voluntary agencies. The role is on a Part Time basis of 22 hours per week, over 4 days, (Tuesday-Friday)Specific responsibilities include:
- To ensure regular contact with Customers are maintained in line with their service offer
- Installing, maintaining and removing dispersed lifelines
- Ensuring that the Lifeline Control Centre has access to relevant information about the Customer, their health issues, details of any agencies, emergency contact, and next of kin
- Keeping accurate records of Customers who are subscribing to the service
- To ensure Customer's needs are assessed on a regular basis via their support plan and that they are supported to access Adult Social Care via referral should their needs change
- To be responsible for own administration and record keeping, ensuring that records and databases are kept up to date on cases with current information and action taken
It is essential that you are educated to A-Level or equivalent level 3 qualification and have relevant or direct experience of developing or working in services for older people in relation to their housing need, care or support.
In addition you will have experience of working with vulnerable older people identifying and mitigating risks in relation to their health and wellbeing.
You will have experience of working alone or with minimum supervision and of dealing with people who are vulnerable or who present challenging behaviour.
You will have the desire to help others and make a difference and can demonstrate patience, diplomacy, respect and consideration for others ensuring a calm rational reaction is given.
The role requires the postholder to be able to transport oneself to various locations and the role requires a Standard DBS check.
