Gorse Hill is an elegant mansion set in the beautiful countryside of Surrey surrounded by woodland and formal gardens, yet only minutes from the centre of Woking.
Having undergone significant refurbishment, it now offers a dedicated 10,000sq ft ballroom, conference, meetings and wedding venue, 67 bedrooms, serviced offices and guest gym, making this one of the prime venue choices in the Surrey region.
We are looking for an experiencedReservations Assistant to join our Team.
As Reservations Assistant you will be responsible for managing incoming calls for bookings or general enquiries and promoting the hotel's facilities and services in a positive way, optimising every opportunity.
Main Responsibilities
The role will mainly include but will not be restricted to:
- Booking bedroom reservations onto Opera for leisure, cooperate, wedding and private event guests
- Checking reservations have the correct information i.e. billing instructions, special requirements, no. of nights.
- Input reservations from third parties
- Monitor bedroom inventory and balance when necessary.
- Entering rooming lists for group bookings
- Dinner reservations for individual guests
- Monitor sold out nights or constrained nights and highlight to Group RM
- Liaising with Chef and Front Office about special offers
Skills/experience
- Excellent maths and English
- Hotel / hospitality background
- Knowledge of Opera, preferred but not essential
- Microsoft office word, excel, outlook etc.
General qualities
- Excellent written and oral communication must be confident and articulate
- Creative originality and new ideas highly valued
- Eye for design with high attention to detail
- Well organised
- Very well presented in keeping with client expectations in a four star Hotel
