Process Safety Entry Level Consultant

Baker Engineering and Risk Consultants, Inc. (BakerRisk), is a global technology leader with petrochemical and government clients worldwide, utilizes advanced methodologies and tools to assess the consequences and risks associated with potentially catastrophic events including explosions, fires, and toxic material releases.
Opportunities are available in BakerRisk Europe Limited's Chester office for entry level process safety engineers.
Responsibilities include modeling fire, toxic, and explosion consequences and calculating risk using BakerRisk's broad suite of process safety software.
Responsibilities also include traveling to sites around the world to collect and confirm essential process data used in quantitative models.
This position requires a BSc or MSc in Chemical Engineering. Other engineering degrees that also are accompanied with a concentration or minor in chemistry would also be considered.Preferred capabilities:
- Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Previous experience in Microsoft Office Suite
- Course work or experience in quantitative modeling or process simulation
- Course work or experience in risk analysis or process safety management tasks
- Internships or coops working as a process engineer, controls engineer, or process safety management engineer
- Fluency in reading engineering documents, including P&IDs, PFDs, and equipment data sheets.
