We are seeking an ALL ROUND BUILDER to join a successful privately owned construction business based in BIRMINGHAM to work on a range of industrial & commercial builds from residential conversions to new factory builds, primarily within the West Midlands but also further afield.


Core hours of 42 per week Mon to Fri plus overtime and basic salary circa £17/hr or £37,000/annum depending on skills & experience.

As an ALL ROUND BUILDER your day may include the following key activities:

  • Working on industrial and commercial properties
  • New build, renovation and extensions
  • Some working away from home required
  • Undertaking a range of construction activities
  • Working as part of a team on site
  • Ensuring proper care is taken of company tools, plant and equipment
  • Adhering to company guidelines on safe working practices
The successful ALL ROUND BUILDER will be able to demonstrate a combination of building skills including some if not all of the following to varying degrees:

  • Bricklaying or Block laying
  • Drainage & Groundwork
  • Carpentry & installing timber work
  • Plumbing basics
  • Boarding & Plastering


This position will suit an ALL ROUND BUILDER or MULTI TRADE fed up with the uncertainty of working through agencies or subcontracting and being laid off due to bad weather or seasonal variations and instead seeking the security and regular income associated with working directly for a privately owned SME construction company with a healthy order book of industrial and commercial projects.


PLEASE NOTE:

  • Core hours are 42 per week
  • Overtime will be available
  • Although mainly working within the Midlands you will also be required to work away from home for which extra allowances are paid.
  • This is a permanent, full time position employed directly by the company on their payroll. It is NOT an agency or limited hours contract.

Salary:
£15.00-£17.00 per hour
