We are currently looking to hire a resident (2-year fixed term researcher) with expertise in optical super resolution techniques and/or materials science to join our optical storage team.


As an Optical Researcher, you will join a leading and highly multidisciplinary industrial research team and you will work with team members towards revolutionizing the future sustainable cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • You will drive cuttingedge research in super resolution microscopy techniques and luminescent materials for diffraction unlimited optical data storage.
  • You will collaborate with members of our multidisciplinary research group to contribute to project objectives
  • You will adopt a growth mindset attitude and be prepared to work within a rapidly changing research environment, while taking a rigorous and systematic approach to design and experimentation.
  • You will envisage, architect, explore new designs and take a handson approach to creating research prototypes
  • You will share your findings with the broader team, product groups and publish in highimpact conferences and journals.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD degree (or ontrack to complete) in one of the following fields: Optics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials, Chemistry or equivalent experience.
  • Impact driven mindset and ability to work and learn in a collaborative environment.
  • Track record in relevant research as evidenced by publications in toptier venues.
  • Committed nature with effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications (one or more of the following):

  • Deep understanding of super resolution techniques, e.g., stimulated emission depletion (STED), and the curiosity to discover how they might impact optical data storage.
  • Be an experimentalist with trackrecord of designing and building superresolution fluorescence microscopes from scratch.
  • Expertise in 3D imaging with aberration correction.
  • Expertise in computational microscopy, image processing, error correction.
