Job summary:
The role of the Personal Assistant (PA) is to provide general support to the The Managing Director.
The post holder will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, work well under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst being able to use their own initiative.
The position will handle incoming and out coming calls
Prepare and edit presentations and other documents
Produce correspondence, reports and letters
The role will undoubtedly have access to a range of confidential and privileged information and as such the role requires a high degree of discretion and trust
You will assist in complaint handling
You will have access to sensitive and confidential information and will therefore need to be able to maintain sensitivity and empathy while behaving in a professional manner.
You will also have daily contact with staff at various levels and must be able to communicate at an appropriate level, conveying information clearly and accurately.
You will be a competent IT user and will have excellent experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages.Pay will be dependant on experience.

The Performance Appraisal process ensures that Sovereign HP is able to achieve its key aims of delivering cost effective, high quality and responsive healthcare, whilst enabling employees to understand how the outcome of their contribution fits within these overall aims.
STATUTORY AND MANDATORY TRAINING
- Sovereign HP will assess the requirements for Statutory and Mandatory training for all new staff prior to commencement and aims to ensure that all Statutory and Mandatory training requirements are completed during the first 2 weeks of commencement.
SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS
- Sovereign HP is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults within its care. As an employee you are accountable to ensure that you know how to respond when you are concerned for the safety of a child, young person or vulnerable adult. INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL
- All employees are expected to follow consistently high standards in the prevention and control of infection, especially with reference to hand hygiene, adherence to dress/uniform code and for clinical staff all procedures involving aseptic technique. Participate in mandatory training and annual updates. Protecting patients from infection is everyone's responsibility.
SMOKE-FREE POLICY
- Sovereign HP operates a Smokefree policy. This means that smoking is not permitted anywhere within any of the premises. In the interests of promoting responsible healthcare all staff are to refrain from smoking when offsite in uniform or wearing an identifying badge in any public place.

- In the course of your employment you will have access to confidential information of a personal and/or clinical nature, including information relating to the Trust, its clients, patients, employees and other parties.
You must not use such information for your own benefit nor disclose it to other persons without the consent of the Trust and the party concerned unless required to do so by law.
