A highly reputable and well-established Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) is seeking an exceptional and dynamic Head of Performing Arts to join the permanent staff of one of their schools located in Croydon.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual to lead and inspire the Performing Arts department, driving excellence and fostering a love for the arts among students.

Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the Performing Arts department.
Develop and implement an engaging and innovative Performing Arts curriculum.
Inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential in the arts.
Manage and support a team of dedicated Performing Arts teachers and support staff.
Foster a positive and inclusive culture within the department, encouraging creativity and collaboration.
Organize and oversee school performances, productions, and extracurricular activities.
Ensure high standards of teaching and learning, regularly monitoring and evaluating performance.
Collaborate with other departments and senior leadership to promote the arts across the school.
Maintain and develop partnerships with external arts organizations and the local community.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Performing Arts or a related field.
Significant experience in teaching Performing Arts at secondary level.
Strong knowledge of the Performing Arts curriculum and best practices in teaching and learning.
Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff alike.
Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for the arts.
Experience in directing and producing school performances and events.
