We would welcome applicants who are NVQ2 qualified as we could offer the NVQ3 qualification as a development opportunity during employment.
The post holder must hold a Level 2 Certificate in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support staff or equivalent (NVQ Level 2).
It is vital that all members of our pharmacy team demonstrate that they are capable of, and committed to, delivering high quality and accurate and timely care.
Job responsibilities include:
accurately and efficiently dispensing all hospital prescriptions, maintaining stock replenishment and stock control, assisting with reception duties, general pharmacy house-keeping duties, assisting in daily stock takes and the dispensing of controlled drugs.
You will be expected to follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures at all times.
You will have the opportunity to rotate into the Dispensaries, Homecare department, Order office and our Aseptic lab within the Pharmacy Department across all of our hospital sites after completing the appropriate training at your own pace.
Working weekends and Bank holidays are a core part of the post and on a rota basis, currently 1 in 4.
