We are supporting a leading defence organization in the search for a professional Cyber Security Officer with expertise in managing cyber security within the supply chain. Joining our dynamic team, you will serve as the main point of contact nationally for all Product Cyber Security governance matters. Responsibilities include liaising with government entities, offering guidance on project cyber security structures and implementations, and cultivating relationships with stakeholders and key suppliers.

What you'll do:

  • Supervise project strategies on cyber security challenges and provide assistance to ensure robust security solutions.
  • Collaborate with customer accreditation bodies to maintain smooth communication and compliance in product cyber security.
  • Engage with senior project management and executives across business units to navigate intricate decisions regarding cyber security for client products.
  • Assist the Procurement Department in enforcing the Supply Chain Cyber Security Policy.

Skills and experience we seek:

  • Familiarity with MOD and Government information security directives, criteria, and regulations.
  • Track record in conducting information security risk evaluations, devising risk mitigation plans, and preparing risk management and accreditation documentation.
  • Proficiency in addressing supply chain cyber security obstacles, Cyber Essentials, DefCon 658, Def Stan 05-138, and Def Stan.
  • Desirable experience in ensuring information assurance across the Systems Engineering Development Lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the skill to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Capability to recognize critical technical, commercial, and program influences based on available data.
  • Background in systems thinking and systems engineering.
