We're looking for an experienced IT Service Manager to help us ensure that the IT department, through its provided services, continue to add value to the National Trust and enable our wider cause.
We're looking for someone who has worked within a busy and sometimeschallenging environment and subsequently has the right skills to work as part of the wider IT Operations team, and related Service Delivery areas and stakeholders.
For this role, we're also looking for someone with a background or knowledge in the networksand infrastructure space.What it's like to work here You will be joining an IT Operations team of 15, who are keen, relaxed, service minded IT professionals who really want to drive forward the maturity and efficiency around IT Operations in line with the needs of the Trust.
The team cover various ITIL functionsand disciplines.In terms of IT Service Management, we're working on developing our maturity level in this field. But we have some great tools at our disposal, and strong relationships to build on.
The IT teams are very keen to assist employees to gain certifications orexperience in areas they are interested in as this has a huge benefit to the organisation.
As the knowledge of employees improves so does the organisation.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust.
What you'll be doing You will be part of the IT Service Management function who are part of the larger IT team.
We'll be looking for someone to work within IT Operations but also collaborate closely and build strong relationships with the various stakeholdersacross the Trust, including internal technical teams and in some cases, third party vendors to the Trust.
You'll assist with defining and measuring SLAs and OLAs for the services provided by National Trust IT and act as a point of escalation for the widerTrust community in relation to IT services.
You'll be responsible for holding frequent service review meetings with key stakeholders and reporting on key metrics e.g. Service SLAs, Service Improvements.You'll develop and co-ordinate Continual Service Improvement initiatives in relation to your serviceportfolio and contribute towards financial reporting Who we're looking for You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached.

For this position we're looking for someone who has:- IT Service Management qualifications (ITIL v3 or 4 as a minimum) -Excellent knowledge of IT Service Management tools e.g. Service Now -A technical understanding that can underpin your ability to deliver the responsibilities for the role -Excellent relationshipbuilding skills and able to influence others The package The National Trust has the motto 'For everyone, for ever' at its heart.
