We have an exciting new opportunity for a skilled Commercial Client Handler to join our Commercial Enterprise Unit at our Gloucester office. You will be responsible for providing professional advice and service to all clients, effectively managing policy events following compliant processes to ensure all customers are handled professionally and fairly. In this role, you will focus on retaining existing customers and attracting new business through building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Identify appropriate solutions, structure, price, and placement strategies to meet clients' needs and drive profitable business.
- Deliver high-quality service to clients, advising, reviewing, arranging, and securing suitable cover at a competitive premium.
- Review and take necessary action on policy and client information.
- Stay alert in daily operations to identify and address potential issues promptly.
- Establish effective relationships with clients, prospects, associates, insurers, and external specialists to maximize business opportunities.
- Foster and enhance relationships with PIB's panel of insurers and maintain a strong presence in the insurance market.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Place commercial lines business in approved markets based on client knowledge and industry sector proposition.
- Keep clients informed about political, regulatory, and market changes that may affect them.
- Review cover adequacy and terms offered to clients, liaising with relevant departments to ensure quick query resolution.
Experience:
Essential:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths.
- Previous experience in an Account Handling role (Insurance).
- Client service and administrative experience, following processes with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Passion for building strong client and colleague relationships.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn, with a proactive approach.
- Basic understanding of the insurance broking market and regulatory compliance.
- Organized with good time management skills.
- Effective communication skills for internal interactions.
- Computer literate with MS Office Suite proficiency.
- Experience with Acturis system for accurate data updates.
