Job Title: Band 7 Emergency Nurse/Care Practitioner
Company: The Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) at The Friarage Hospital Northallerton
The UTC in Northallerton is looking for an enthusiastic Emergency Nurse/Care Practitioner to join their dynamic team.
This department provides high-quality care to a rural population of around 141,000 people across 1,000 square miles. They are a South Tees diamond accredited department known for excellent care delivery.
The team at UTC includes GPs, Nurse Practitioners, paramedic practitioners, HCAs, and receptionists. They collaborate with primary care and focus on reducing ED visits.
They have strong links with various specialties and care for patients of all ages, providing treatment for minor illnesses and injuries.
CPD is offered with a monthly teaching program, and support is provided to trainee Nurse Practitioners to complete their training and portfolio.
Additionally, they support student nurses and paramedics from Teesside University.
Main Duties:
- Deliver high standards of clinical care
- Use advanced knowledge and skills to promote evidence-based practice
- Manage patient diagnosis, treatment, and care
- Adapt to challenging situations with clinical judgement

Qualifications & Training
Essential:
- Registered nurse/paramedic with NMC/HCPC
- Degree in relevant subject
- Specialist training equivalent to Masters Level
- Recognized Teaching qualification
- Physical Assessment Skills module at level 7 or above
- Non-Medical Prescribing

- Masters degree
