Production Administrator


We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Administrator to work for one of the largest regional newspaper publishers at its Weymouth Print Centre.

You will be responsible for performing organisational, clerical, and administrative duties that go with a busy newspaper production department.

This is a key position within the company and through your hard work and commitment will insure the smooth running of the production department.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the production scheduling and information process.
  • Input job details into the platemaking workflow system.
  • Order production materials, consumables, and services.
  • Update staff attendance records, organise staff training, and book occupational monitoring services.
  • Routinely gather and update production records, compile data and generate reports.

  • Previous administration experience ideally within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Have a strong attention to detail with good organisational skills.

This is a permanent position, 32 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Salary £24,000 pa. 5.6 weeks holiday per year.
