Job Introduction

We currently are seeking strong minded and resilient Support Workers, within in the Liverpool region. You will join a specialist mixed team supporting an individual within their own home with a person-centred approach.

Our specialist mixed team are always striving to go the extra mile to provide outstanding support to allow the PWS to achieve their goals.

The gentleman has a diagnosis of learning disabilities and an acquired brain injury, it would be beneficial to have an understanding about behaviours that may be of a concern.

People we support are cared for by a mixed team on a 1-2-1 basis, being used to lone working is essential.


You must have experience of:

Providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs.
Behaviours that may be perceived as concerning within the UK
As well as experience in implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.

Gray Healthcare are different to most care providers in that that we are clinically informed this means that there is a team of clinicians including nurses, occupational therapists, and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) specialists involved in developing the care and approach for each person that we support.

This provides more direction to the support teams; it is an inclusive approach that is proven to work to improve the lives and outcomes of the people that we support.

Training
We don't expect you to know everything when you join Gray Healthcare
We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training (company induction, systems, and medications)

Followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, this is a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint dominat approaches.

You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. This could be PBS, epilepsy, ligature etc. and finally, you'll complete shadow shifts.

Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare, and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.

About You

Ideally you will be a driver that lives within the Liverpool region, it Is essential that you are adaptable and have a mature mind set.

Someone that isn't afraid of a challenge. You will need a strong mental health background with an understanding about varied mental health diagnosis.
You will acquire a full British driving license.

You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have 6 months Health care experience in the UK.
