The Department of Chemistry is seeking to appoint a Chair in Chemistry to lead activities in Sustainable and Circular Chemistry.

Liverpool Chemistry Department was very highly ranked in successive Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercises (2021, 3rd for impact) affirming the quality of the research, its international recognition, and the leading research environment.
Our growing community has >150 academic and research staff, >25 professional services staff and over 650 students.Our research has five main themes in Materials, Chemistry of World Health, Energy and Functional Interfaces, Organic Synthesis and Catalysis, and Chemical Models.
We have ambitious plans to grow research activity, extending the frontiers of knowledge by fostering an exciting, creative, and supportive research environment.
Our renowned teaching provides students an excellent, research-connected education in Chemistry embedded through our award-winning Central Teaching Laboratory.We provide support and development opportunities for all stages of the academic career equally, producing an inclusive and vibrant department in line with our vision.
