Day to Day Duties

As a Class 1 driver you will be required to work anything from 10-15 hours per shift, with the average hours being 12 hours per shift.
The run can be sent anywhere in the country but unlikely you will be stuck on the road for a night out unless previously agreed.

Other duties may include;

  • Operate and drive various class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly.
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed.

Essential Skills

  • You must have at least 1 years experience driving a Class 1.
  • You must have a valid CPC and UK Digi card.
  • You must have a decent understanding of verbal and written English.
  • You will undergo a driving and theory assessment before being offered the role.

What training is provided?

  • Any job related training needed for this role will be provided during assessment.
