Location: De Havilland Campus, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities

  • As the Deputy Head, you will play a significant role in delivering on the University's strategic plans relating to blended and flexible education that transforms lives. You will provide leadership on initiatives that support the adoption of technologies to enhance learning teaching and assessment and raise the digital capabilities of our staff and student community. In doing so, you will promote a culture of digital transformation and help to strengthen our reputation as a modern forwardthinking institution that is invested in its staff and produces graduates that are future ready.
    Skills and experience required
  • You will bring experience of leading technology enhanced learning and/or digital capability initiatives, preferably in an educational setting. Your background will include leadership in change initiatives, working with stakeholders, communications planning, and the creation of training and development opportunities. You will also be experienced in data collection, project evaluation, report writing and presenting to senior management. As an experienced manager, you will be adept in positively influencing others, encouraging elevated levels of performance, and an advocate for continuing professional development.
