Our client are a growing IT Consultancy who operate across the UK and Europe.
Responsibilities of the role:
Work closely with clients to understand their on-premises and cloud infrastructure platform requirements.
Plan, prepare and implement both hardware and software solutions to meet the customers needs.
Work with operations to improve ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of application delivery infrastructure to maintain optimal performance and availability.
Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and best practices related to application delivery engineering.Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant industry experience.
Either experience designing and implementing or a strong understanding and desire to learn more about:
o Cloud infrastructure such as e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
o On prem virtualisation using VMWare (Hyper-V is a bonus).
o Storage and SAN technologies o Microsoft server operating systems and Active Directory
o Microsoft Entra ID (formerly azure active directory)
o Microsoft exchange and office 365 outlook.
o Linux operating systems would be advantageous.
o Backup and restoration technologies (VEEM preferred)
o Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, and routing protocols.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Relevant certifications in Microsoft, VMware, AWS are advantageous.
