Main responsibilities:

  • Work with Directors and Managers to provide a high quality of provision and work with them to resolve any concerns regarding the quality of our service
  • Support the Director of Training to improve the quality of provision in line with the Education Inspection Framework (EIF) to ensure OFSTED readiness,conducting quality activities such as deep dives, audits and compliance checks
  • Deliver high quality Teaching and Learning in accordance with the company's Teaching and Learning Strategy
  • Develop the curriculum and oversee the delivery of the Fire, Emergency and Security Systems apprenticeships
  • Continuously improve the curriculum and delivery of our Fire, Emergency and Security Systems apprenticeships to improve learner retention and successful completion of End Point Assessment
  • Coordinate the delivery timetable and trainer caseloads
  • Conduct 11 Trainer meetings to ensure learners are making timely progress and update KPI Trackers
  • Quality manage team members' use of Learning Assistant ensuring compliance with the Funding Rules and Compliance Policy
  • Form positive relationships with End Point Assessment Organisations / Awarding Bodies and ensure the team are kept up to date with changes to terms and processes
  • Ensure learners are registered and expected EPA dates are accurate with the relevant EPAO in a timely manner
  • Liaise with trainers, learners and employers to ensure learners are successfully prepared for EPA
  • Undertake Progress Reviews at least every 10 weeks in accordance with the quality procedure
  • Identify potential progression opportunities for learners where appropriate and make recommendations to the Business Development Team
  • Work with team members to ensure that learner evidence packs are completed in a timely manner
  • Attend Curriculum meetings and provide reports relating to learner progress and achievements
  • Prescreen applicants, offering impartial advice and guidance and completing prescreen documentation in a timely manner
  • Undertake robust Initial Assessment activities in accordance with the quality procedure
  • Work with the Business Development Team to ensure they are fully conversant with Fire, Emergency and Security provision and are made aware of any changes to the curriculum
  • To lead on Standardisation meetings to ensure delivery is standardised across the Fire, Emergency and Security provision giving feedback and making suggestions regarding the quality of our provision.
  • Drive the team to promote British Values, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Prevent (including local awareness) and ensure these topics are embedded in the learner journey to support the improvement of learner knowledge
  • Follow the procedures laid down in the Quality Manual for relevant Key Processes

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's grades A-C including Maths and English, or equivalent
  • An experienced Trainer, ideally with 5 years' experience in an electrical and / or security engineer's role
  • Qualified to Level 3 or above in Engineering or Electrical/Electronic discipline
  • A strong background in learning and development and delivering practical training
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with all stakeholders
  • Hold an Assessor / Verifier qualifications, or working towards (D32/33, A1, TAQA, D34, V1)
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills
