RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To prepare vegetables and other foodstuffs and beverages as directed by the Head Chef / Assistant Cook
  • To wash dishes and kitchen utensils. To fill, operate and empty the dishwasher as required.
  • To perform all tasks within laid down Hygiene Rules and Regulations,
  • To ensure that the kitchen and food storage areas are left clean and tidy.
  • To undertake other duties, as necessary.
  • To deliver and collect hot cabinets, at meal times, to all suites.
  • All Silk Healthcare employees and volunteers are required to act in such a way that at all times safeguards the health and well-being of children and vulnerable adults. Familiarisation with and adherence to Silk Healthcare and Local Authority Safeguarding policies and procedures is an essential requirement of all employees and volunteers, as is participation in related mandatory training and safeguarding supervision.
  • To comply with resident of the day scheme,
  • To comply with all the current government guidance around usage of PPE and swabbing.
  • Anyone employed by Silk Healthcare must have had or been willing to have two doses of the Covid vaccine unless they have a medical exemption certificate.
