eDiscovery Project Managers and eDiscovery Consultants

Some pioneering law firms in the regions (mainly Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester) and London are starting to invest more into eDiscovery/eDisclosure and it's great to see this fast growth area start to filter into the regions from London.

These eDiscovery Project Manager roles tend to focus on those with upwards of 2 years of eDiscovery experience and look for experience ofRelativity and other similar software packages.

The work tends to advisory - advising and working with external providers, preparing reports and guiding internal litigation teams and external clients.

External providers or separate internal teams will delve deep into the data on your instruction.

You will attend meetings with internal/external clients, talk about strategy, introduce data sources that could support them, and help them to gain the competitive edge in each case.

Most teams at these law firms are still in a bit of astart up phase - they will ramp up and add more team members as the years go on, so it could be a good opportunity to join as a team grows around you.

These opportunities could be particularly interesting for those currently working in similar roles for the eDiscovery providers themselves - these law firms will value your knowledge and experience greatly.

They could also be interesting for those finding themselves stuck at a point where they can't progress in an internal team at a larger law firm which is too structured and stopping them from developing into a role with more responsibility.

Most law firms operate a hybrid model and you tend to be looking at 2 or3 days in the office and the rest of the week from home.
