Grounds Maintenance Operative

The Best Connection is recruiting for a
part time grounds maintenance operative to work at our Wolverhampton based client.

Starting from the 4th of March.

Working 08:00AM till 16:00PM three days a week between Monday and Friday,

£10.42 per hour. Rising to £11.50 per hour after completion of trial period.


Based in the Four Ashes area of Wolverhampton, you would be working in a busy production/ warehouse environment in all aspects of ground maintenance.

Your daily duties would include all aspects of general factory and ground maintenance

These would include:

  • Painting.
  • Grass cutting.
  • Outside yard maintenance.
  • Fixing door locks.
  • General machine maintenance.
  • Cleaning down of machines and equipment.
  • Replacing worn machinery parts (training will be given.)
  • Machine parts stock control.
  • Fabric sample fire testing (training will be given.)
  • General handyman duties, changing light bulbs etc.

Weekly jobs will also include:

  • Gas reading.
  • Alarm testing.
  • Fire points, lighting and equipment checks.
  • Forklift area checks.
  • Ladder checks.
  • Updating maintenance log.
This is a long-term role with the potential of a permanent placement with the company after a trial period.
