As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Import Supply Chain Planner to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.


About the Role:

The Import Department will be handling in excess of 30,000 teu containers a year.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to take on this key role to manage and coordinate the planning & tracking of our import shipments to ensure a smooth supply chain, providing clear and accurate data to all the business stake holders.

The role itself will include high usage of Excel, so knowledge and experience of manipulating data, interrogating data and providing reports is key for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing & monitoring data accuracy of container supply chain milestones.
  • Responsibility for tracking shipments from exfactory through to ontime receipt to DCs.
  • Analysing large volumes of diverse data, providing actionable insights.
  • Enhancing our supplier performance and relationships to ensure goods are shipped in a timely manner minimizing delays.
  • Enhance reporting and visibility to all required stakeholders to support the business Open to Buy planning and seasonal intake phasing.
  • Supporting in the development of and creation of reporting on the current shipment status and alerts of any potential issues.
  • Identifying and highlighting any risk to the supply chain, collaborating with crossfunctional teams.
  • Communicating insights and results at different levels to diverse audiences within the company.
  • Presenting findings to stakeholders, department manager and head of department.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstratable analytical skills with a commercial awareness.
  • A problem solver with a cando mentality and strong aptitude for learning.
  • Experience of ocean imports and supply chain milestones an advantage.
  • Effective communication and influence with The Range stakeholders.
  • Confident with IT systems, particular Microsoft 365 (office) including power BI, online platforms
  • Advanced experience of Excel, including pivot tables.
  • Experience with SQL desirable.
  • Familiarity with business processes related to procurement, inventory management, and logistics
  • Excellent organisation skills with a positive attitude and determination to get the job done well.
