Due to continued expansion we are currently recruiting for a Time Served Turner for our sub contract engineering company established in 1941 and based in Glasgow.


The successful applicant would be part of a team producing quality components for a wide range of industries including Aerospace, Utilities, Food and Drink.


Duties and responsibilities would include:

  • Reading and working to detailed Engineering Drawings and Customer samples
  • Operating, setting and Programming Electronic & CNC Lathes experience of Fanuc controls Essential.
  • Producing high quality parts to close tolerances
  • Quality Inspection and documentation of own parts
  • The ability to work as part of a small team using your own initiative


The successful applicant must be qualified in the relevant engineering discipline and preferably have a minimum of five years experience.

39 hours per week with overtime available

Signing Bonus of £1000 - £500 paid after 6 & 12 months service

Normal Working Hours: 7.30am - 4pm Mon - Thurs & 7.30am - 1pm Friday.

Overtime:
Tues & Thursday to 6pm and Saturday morning 8am - 12pm business dependent.

OverSaturday/Sunday Double Time. Callout £30 plus mileage to and from home.

Overtime Rates:
before 8pm Weekdays Time and a half, after 8pm Weekdays and all day Sat/Sun

Average earnings for holiday pay

33 days holiday per annum
