Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:

  • We are a group of individuals who live here at Somerset House, we all have our own Flat, our ages range is from 25yrs to 73yrs old.
  • The Challenges you may face are behaviours that may cause concern, self harm,or bipolar disorder.
  • Our staff team are trained in, Autism, Epilepsy and Rescue Medication, Positive Behavioural Support, Supporting People with a Learning Disability, Health and Safety, Fire safety, Food Hygiene and Infection Control/Cross Infection.
  • We do a variety of activities such as:
  • Disco Nights, Garden Parties, BBQ's, Local Walks, Meals out, Bowling, Snooker, Bike Riding, Volunteering at Charity Shops, In House Arts and Crafts, escape rooms
  • We have a varied collection of interests such as ,on line gaming, gardening, shopping, art, music ,cooking
- baking, wordsearches, football, theatre, and murder mysteries.

  • The types of people we get along with are people who are experienced in life, not too shy, someone who can take a joke, and have a joke back, there's nothing better than a good belly laugh, also someone who is honest and trustworthy. We prefer mature staff.
  • Our local community is at the heart of Ashton and has plenty to do and see and places to eat.
  • We have lots of local restaurants, cinemas, swimming baths, shopping centre, Supermarkets, local in door and out door market, hospital and GP surgeries, walking routes, pubs, social clubs.
  • We are in a great area for all the public, just off our road is a good bus route with regular buses that takes you into the town centre, where you can get trains, trams and buses to further destinations all are wheelchair accessible.
  • We do love to go to the local Tuesday night disco at the Fire Station pub, we meet up with lots of our friends
