Role and Responsibilities

We are open to applicants wishing to work on a full time or part time basis.

Reporting into the Head of Talent Development, you'll be responsible for scoping, designing and implementing effective learning solutions to educate and support the development needs of our people in collaboration with key stakeholders and colleagues across the People team.

You will need to be hands-on, able to take ownership and work collaboratively to deliver, as well as being comfortable working with uncertainty and ambiguity. You will seek opportunities to continuously improve development solutions and be proactive in recommending ways to enhance what we do, helping to make Ridge an employer of choice.

We are a small, friendly team, spread across our Oxford, London, Birmingham and Cambridge offices. Ideally, you'll be based from our Oxford office, but we are also open to candidates who are based in London or Birmingham and/or flexible to work across different office locations.

What you need to do to be effective in this role

Work closely with the People Partners (HRBPs) and key stakeholders to identify and define talent gaps and learning needs Advise on existing development opportunities that could address identified learning needs. Forward plan courses to ensure that we are meeting the required demand Design and develop high quality, engaging training materials which address any newly identified learning needs, leveraging external vendors where appropriate Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of learning solutions to ensure they are meeting business needs and supporting the development of our people Manage the delivery of programmes to timeframes and budgets Where appropriate, facilitate training sessions and workshops – to include new joiner inductions but with potential to expand over time Use your knowledge and expertise to enhance our Talent Development strategy by leveraging your experience and keeping up-to-date with relevant trends Seek opportunities to continuously improve talent development processes and programmes Be an advocate for talent development – promote and raise awareness of varied ways to develop skills including through on-the-job experiences and exposure as well as formal education (70/20/10 model) Provide support and guidance to Talent Development coordinators

Experience and Skills Required

We want you to be passionate about creating and implementing innovative training and development programmes that enhance the skills and knowledge of our people and, be committed to helping us grow an inclusive culture, where everyone can thrive and perform at their best.

Previous experience in designing and delivering learning and development solutions Confident at facilitating training and workshops – initially new joiner inductions but with potential to expand over time Strong project management skills – ability to organise time effectively and deliver to key milestones A tangible understanding of the latest trends in the talent development space Creative flair, and an aptitude for designing engaging talent solutions Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - able to work effectively across diverse business disciplines, cultures, and levels of leadership Ability to influence key stakeholders and gain buy-in to talent development solutions Perseverance and resilience - you can roll your sleeves up and are committed to successful delivery A real team player – able to work collaboratively with others and support colleagues Ability to work semi-autonomously whilst knowing when to reach out for support and guidance Comfortable with ambiguity and helping to shape priorities
