Role purpose
You'll have responsibility for investigation and case management, reporting on, regulatory concerns raised.

In your role you will gather and analyse information in order to assess whether someone is safe to practise and if they pose any risk.

You will havean important role in making sure statutory obligations are met.
Key accountabilities

  • Plan, manage and prioritise your own investigation caseload to meet your department objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Identify the relevant regulatory concerns and appropriate investigative steps.
  • Ownership and ability to provide case updates when requested, ensuring a timely delivery of completed investigations.
  • Act as a named point of contact for witnesses and other stakeholders during the investigation, providing regular and necessary updates.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, maintaining oversight and responsibility for the case.
  • Efficient record keeping, ensuring that case files, contain all relevant information relating to the case, are kept up to date and are accurate.
  • Completion of investigations in a timely and outcome focused manner, meeting relevant quality standards.
  • Plan and investigate cases in line with the fitness to practise strategy principles.
  • Continually review information, regulatory concerns and key facts of the case throughout the investigation process, changing and adapting your investigation plan promptly and as required.
  • Conduct witness interviews and drafts witness statements to a high standard.
  • Investigate and progress cases within set timeframes.
  • Produce a clear and concise report, together with wellorder supporting information, detailing recommendations at the conclusion of your investigation.
Providing people centred, empathetic and helpful customer service to all stake holders you communicate with.
Deliver a people centred customer service approach to all member of the public, tailoring communication to their needs.
In order to succeed in this role applicants must have the following

  • Experience of managing a case and managing competing priorities.

  • To be able to demonstrate empathy and have good active listening skills.
  • Welldeveloped analytical skills, the ability to identify and understand complex concepts quickly. The ability to understand the relevance and importance of key documents.

  • Welldeveloped communication skills, demonstrable in written and verbal English.
  • Excellent drafting and written communications skills, with the ability to accurately reflect and summarise accounts.
  • Able to convey with credibility difficult messages to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Able to work collaboratively, supporting your team and all colleagues you work with.
  • Proficient in the use of a range of IT programmes.
