The Assistant Treasury Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the settlements function, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the Treasury Manager in developing and implementing treasury strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
nOversee daily treasury operations, including cash management, bank account administration, and fixed income and derivative transaction processing.nEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as KYC and AML, and maintain accurate records.nAssist in the development and implementation of treasury strategies to manage risk and optimize cash flow.nSupport the team in forecasting cash flows and managing liquidity.nLiaise with internal stakeholders, such as accounting and legal teams, to ensure smooth communication and coordination of treasury activities.nProvide 'subject matter expertise' in developing our treasury management system.nManage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.nProvide guidance and training to colleagues in the treasury back office.
RequirementsnPreferably ACT qualified (Certificate in Treasury) or similar qualification.nKnowledge of a broad range of products, specifically FI, FX, derivativesnAt least 5 years of experience in treasury operations, with a focus on back-office functions.nStrong knowledge of cash management, fixed income, derivative administration, FX settlement and collateral management.nKnowledge of SWIFT standards and treasury settlement and confirmation message types.nExperience in managing a team and providing guidance to other staff.nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.nProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
