Hours
48 hours per week with a 30-minute break each day

Monday to Thursday - 7:00am to 7:00pm and 7:00pm to 7:00am rotated weekly (overtime as and when required)

To manage the production department in a safe, efficient and effective manner. You will monitor and review progress against production plans.


Working with the Production Manager, you will supervise the day-to-day production activities through your ability to manage, motivate and develop your team members.

You will bring up to date production supervisory management skills to the team and drive continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for:

  • The safety, health, wellbeing and development of employees
  • The quality of product and systems
  • The environmental impact of the operation
  • The security of the company's assets

Duties

  • Ensuring that production processes are in line with company and regulatory requirements
  • Accurately completing all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance
  • Informing the production team of health and safety practices
  • Communicating expectations to production team members and evaluating their performance
  • Regularly checking machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow
  • Report information and update management regularly
  • Quick response to emergency situations to reduce downtime
  • Managing the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment
  • Ensuring all resources and assets are used efficiently
  • Any other duties and responsibilities, express and implied, which arise from the nature and character of the post, as deemed by your line manager.

Skills, knowledge, and behaviour requirements

  • Strong analytical skills to determine problems within the production process and take appropriate action
  • A firm understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Good time-management skills to minimise downtime and ensure a team works efficiently
  • The ability to cope with pressure and make sound decisions quickly
  • A high regard for safety, quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Knowledge and experience adhering to waste management processes
