Job Description

The People Services team exists to provide shared operational and advisory support to the business and to colleagues across the People Function, providing the foundations of HR throughout the employee lifecycle.

As part of the People Services at De Beers Group, you will play a vital role in the People Services function; providing key services to the business and the broader People function, offering impeccable employee experience across all People processes and services. We aim to make the lives of those we work with brilliant.

In this role, you will be responsible for the creating actionable insights from our people data and ensuring full data compliance globally. You will analyse people data to uncover insights, trends, and patterns that inform strategic workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development initiatives. Additionally, you will play a critical role in ensuring data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations and policies. You will also support the implementation, integration, and optimisation of data and reporting tooling and activities across the people function. You will play a critical role in supporting digital transformation initiatives, enhancing user experience, and providing actionable insights to enable data-driven decision-making to support our business objectives.

You will manage and optimise data and reporting processes, supporting the business to make informed and meaningful decisions. You will actively manage issues as they arise, take ownership of the end-to-end data and reporting lifecycle and ensure the People function is equipped to deliver efficient and effective people data insights and that all reporting initiatives remain compliant. You will play a critical role in supporting the business maintain compliance and leverage insights to better inform business decisions on all things people, creating meaningful reports, dashboards and visualisations that drive optimisation. You will play an active role in creating an energising and cohesive workplace environment, actively flagging opportunities to improve people processes and business outcomes.

People Insights capability:

  • Analyse complex people data sets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns and insights that support strategic decision-making and drive organisational effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver reports, dashboards and presentations that communicate key people metrics, performance indicators, and actionable insights to People leaders and business stakeholders.

SME Insights and collaboration:

  • Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive people analytics strategy to gather, analyse, and interpret People data to support key business objectives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on people data and compliance management best practices, providing training and support to People teams and end-users

Industry Benchmarking:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on people data and compliance management best practices, providing training and support to People teams and end-users.
  • Creating and setting Industry and business unit KPIs for their people across the upstream, midstream and downstream business units, tailoring these in accordance with the differences in industries.

Insights with Impact:

  • Ability to tell a meaningful story to with data; create and present compelling narratives based in data.
  • Ability to influence business decision making and have an impact on people strategy formulation based on trends.

Qualifications

What you've done before:

  • Prior demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Expert in relevant people tools, systems and data management practices
  • Worked in a fast-moving, demanding environment

Technical and soft skills you'll have or be working towards:

Technical :

  • Ability to work under pressure with conflicting priorities
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experiencing training and mentoring a HR team to understand the importance of driving meaningful insights and partner with the business to drive meaningful decision making.
  • SuccessFactors HRIS system and Microsoft Office desirable
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Proactive, creative, and analytical mindset
  • Proven experience in key people data and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Proven experience working with people technology and systems
  • Proven experience in report and dashboard design and development and process improvement

Soft:

  • Customer Service focused with high accountability
  • Agile mindset, results orientated.
  • Strong Team spirit to support the wider People Services team.
  • Uses own initiative to continuously improve processes or working practices.
  • Able to proactively anticipate and plan for our business insights needs.
