Role Objective:


As a Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for effectively coaching and performance managing a high-performance sales team within your regional area to deliver sales goals through high-quality customer interactions.


In this role, you will also ensure the effective implementation of marketing strategy with identified customer groups and contribute to local account plans and ensure action plans are implemented.

You will also utilise innovative ideas to serve customersand patients to deliver results and act as a role model of the company values.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the performance of Primary Care resources within an area team, through effective and appropriate leadership and coaching.
  • Ensuring that all direct reports are conversant and compliant with the ABPI Code and all relevant internal standard operating procedures.
  • Responsibility to maintain a high tone within their team regarding the importance of compliance.
  • Providing input into account plan. Ensuring the plan is operationalised and there is a clear tactical plan for all team members.
  • Activitybased targets for the sales team are delivered to the planned quantity, whilst ensuring the quality of customer interaction is delivered to the company standard.
  • Ensuring the team seeks to understand their customer's channel preferences in order to utilise the appropriate resources available (both digital and people channels) to drive the best customer experience.
  • Ensuring achievement of agreed advocacy development and targets.
- ensuring representatives adhere to the ABPI(UK)/IPHA(Ireland) Codes of Practice, and that only appropriate patients receive our medications.

  • Facilitating customer/environment feedback, communication and opportunity spotting from their team.
  • Identifying best practices and sharing these with aligned sales teams and appropriate head office functions.
  • Driving Customer Engagement Model (CEM) improvements in the sales force through effective coaching.
  • Developing teams and individuals is a high priority, with appropriate and relevant feedback and coaching, training interventions, development planning and talent management.
  • Assist with the onboarding process and implementation of new external managers: due diligence documentation, onsite meetings, process analysis & writeups, allocation discussions, operational team support, Investment Management Agreement and InvestmentGuideline negotiation, and other related tasks.

Portfolio Management:

  • Previous experience within Primary Care sales & line management/coaching experience of sales teams within the pharma/healthcare environment
  • Robust experience in strategic account management
  • Extensive NHS knowledge and the ability to grasp value given from the evolution of NHS within sales
  • An appetite for embracing change within the NHS, and the ability to adapt to this.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Care Specialist (ICS) set up within NHS preferred
  • ABPI (UK) / MRII (Ireland) qualification
  • IT literate (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ideally a clean driving licence
