  • Freight/Distribution**
    Salary £35K Base, Company Car, Or Generous Car Allowance, Excellent Commission, OTE £60K uncapped so you can earn much more


Our client is a major player in the UK Freight/Distribution Market with a large number of branches across the UK.

They are looking for a Dynamic Sales Executive to build New Business in the Edinburgh areas

The Role

  • Exceeding their personal new business budget/target
  • Managing the customer base with relevant Depot colleagues to ensure mínimal attrition
  • Building close and effective working relationships with a network of contacts within prospective customers
  • Identifying and qualifying customer opportunities for new product sales
  • Developing and broadening relationship with existing customers while identifying and qualifying opportunities for new sales

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Depot General Manager, Regional Director & Regional Sales Manager to
implement the sales strategy and business plan for the Depot

  • Define target list of customer prospects based on clearly defined criteria that maximises return
Achieve and exceed personal and Depot targets in line with budget

  • Working with the Depot General Manager to manage customer relationships by engaging in personal ownership of the customers
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the product portfolio and all associated features and benefits and to tailor those benefits to the needs of the customer
  • Track performance of accounts, opportunity and scope to build and maintain customer relations
  • Submit accurate and timely sales reports
  • Attend team meetings and contribute as necessary on own individual performance, prepare for manager review meetings and complete sales activity reports accurately and on time
  • Use the sales tools in line with the agreed sales process to maintain and develop sales pipeline and customer information

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Strong sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, networking and campaign management)
  • Detailed understanding of sales process and demonstration of worldclass sales rigor, hunger and determination
  • Proven sales ability with historic success at exceeding new business targets, whilst excelling at customer retention through professional account management, development and planning skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Problem solving abilities; able to facilitate discussions
  • Able to travel within designated territory and able to work with the minimum of supervision

  • Achievement of Depot Revenue Budget Target
  • Customer retention at home Depot
  • Profile Reviews all up to date within the customer base at home Depot

  • Results driven, selfconfident individual with an ability to empathise with customers at all levels
  • Able to work both alone and as part of a team
  • Consistent drive and energy, positive attitude
  • Flexible work ethic
**Must have a Driving License with less than 6 points
