Sales Director - (Modular Building Projects) at Wernick Buildings

Wernick Buildings specializes in designing and constructing permanent Modular Building Projects, offering advanced and eco-friendly offsite building solutions that encourage unique and innovative architectural designs with fast project completion.


The Wernick Group, established in 1934, has evolved from a small producer of poultry crates to become the largest independent manufacturer and provider of portable and modular accommodation in the UK. Over the past decade, the group has experienced significant growth through strategic acquisitions and organic expansion.


Operating 41 centers across 37 UK locations, Wernick Group serves both public and private sectors, maintaining its status as a family-owned and operated business since its inception.


As a Sales Director, you will play a crucial role in leading sales activities at Wernick Buildings, with a focus on promoting Customer Excellence. Your responsibilities will involve securing profitable business in alignment with the overall organizational strategy, overseeing sales team development, and collaborating with the marketing team.


About the role:

  • Create, develop, and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base to support business goals and secure profitable opportunities
  • Provide guidance to the sales team, ensuring alignment with business strategy and driving individual and team performance
  • Recruit and train sales employees effectively to maintain and enhance team performance while delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers
  • Establish effective sales monitoring processes to track progress and identify market opportunities
  • Participate in customer visits, manage personal business targets, and collaborate with the Commercial Director on tenders and agreements
  • Work alongside the Marketing team to execute the sales strategy and capitalize on market trends and opportunities
  • Support various business functions, including commercial, operations, and projects, to drive growth and profitability

Essential Criteria:

  • Reside within commutable distance of Kenfig, SA13
  • Prior sales and marketing experience in the modular or construction industry
  • Demonstrated customer service background and communication skills
  • Right to live and work in the UK indefinitely
  • Professional and positive attitude with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels
