Deputy Head Teacher Position at Veritas Education


We are currently seeking a Deputy Head Teacher with experience in Behaviour and Pastoral care to join our senior leadership team at Veritas Education.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a significant background in Special Education Needs (SEN) and a proven track record as an exceptional teacher.

It is essential for candidates to have extensive knowledge in safeguarding practices and a genuine dedication to teaching and learning within this unique educational setting.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to inspire our class teachers and support staff by demonstrating and implementing best practices. Collaboration with families to encourage positive attitudes towards education is also a key aspect of this role.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Headteacher and senior leaders to shape the school's strategic vision and goals.
  • Lead the development of teaching and learning strategies, ensuring academic growth for all students.
  • Monitor and assess teaching quality and student progress, making improvements as needed.
  • Promote effective teaching practices and serve as a role model for staff.
  • Fulfill Headteacher duties in their absence to ensure smooth school operations.
  • Adhere to school policies and ensure student well-being, health, safety, and discipline.
  • Promote inclusivity and diversity in the school environment.

Application Requirements for Veritas Education:

All applicants must undergo Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, and Overseas Police Clearances in line with our safeguarding policy.

CVs should include the last 10 years of employment history and any employment gaps must be clarified. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK and be willing to attend a registration interview.

Veritas Education collaborates with a range of schools across different geographical locations, offering teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, and college levels, as well as support staff positions.
