Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems. Your expertise in welding and mechanical knowledge will be essential in ensuring the proper functioning of these systems.

Duties:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems
  • Cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shapes using hand tools or machines
  • Weld pipes together using various techniques such as stick welding
  • Install and secure pipes in position using brackets, clamps, or welding equipment
  • Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges or other testing equipment
  • Repair or replace damaged pipes or fittings as needed
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively

Skills:

  • Proficient in welding techniques and able to perform stick welding
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Knowledge of basic math calculations for measuring and cutting pipes accurately
  • Mechanical knowledge to understand the functioning of piping systems
  • Ability to assemble and plumb pipes according to specifications
  • Familiarity with various hand tools used in pipefitting

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract, Temp to perm

Contract length: 2 months

Salary:
£24.00-£26.00 per hour
