Job Title: Strategic Head of Service for Havering Council's Early Help Service

  • Lead and direct work/practice to positively influence outcomes for children, young people, and families in Havering.
  • Provide strategic oversight and support to services within the role and wider children services as needed.
  • Ensure early help services are responsive, dynamic, and effective in delivering community-based universal and targeted services based on identified needs in Havering.
  • Reporting to the Assistant Director of Early Help and Partnerships.
  • Deputise for the Assistant Director when necessary.
  • Manage approximately 98 staff members across all services.
  • Responsible for managing multiple budgets of approximately £6.2m.
  • Expected to work outside 'normal' office hours as required.
