The role of Executive Assistant is a pivotal position within the Unit providing high level PA support to the Director, Chas Bountra, and the wider support team when required.

We are seeking an experienced, highly organised Executive Assistant for this exciting but challenging role.

You will be the key interface with a wide range of internal and external contacts. This variable workload requires a strong range of skill sets and an adaptable, proactive approach. You will create, manage, and develop systems to fully support the administration of the Director's work. This includes daily operational and communication support within the Unit.

You will have good team skills; ensuring staff are kept up to date on the many initiatives within the CMD.

You must be able to show that you have excellent oral and written English, which is essential for drafting letters, briefings and presentations, as well as good attention to detail.

You will also play an important role within the administrative team, which supports one another during periods of absence and/or to manage challenging tasks and timelines.

You should have (or be able to quickly acquire) a general understanding of the structure of the Nuffield Department of Medicine, and specifically of the aims and purpose of the CMD.


This position is offered full time on a fixed term contract for 2 years and is funded by the Department.
