The post holder will work with collaborating institutions to establish key experimental

systems for the study of translational immunometabolism here at Sunderland University.
They will co-culture primary human T cells and dendritic cells to identify metabolites with
in dendritic cell and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapies. The post holder will
interrogate existing omics data from our grouping, alongside publicly available data sets to
explore how cytokines might play a role in priming and fine-tuning T cell metabolism with
implications for immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMID) and cancer.

Key Responsibilities

**Faculty Specific: - Management of academic research and administrative activities related to

the project. This will involve project management of multiple aspects of the
project to meet tight deadlines and project milestones.

  • Develop and carry out the specified project using appropriate techniques
and equipment.

  • Working under the guidance of an academic, the postholder will contribute
ideas, including enhancements to the technical or methodological aspects
of their studies, providing substantial 'added value'.
