Senior Mechanical Design EngineerBirminghamI am seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for an established automotive engineering company.

This is a contract role outside IR35.They are part of a growing successful business operating in the supply of automotive components for a range of commercial engines.

They provide design and development services for other sister companies within the engine products division being a global supplier/market leader in their field.


What You Will Do:


As Senior Mechanical Design Engineer;To assist in the design of a range of engine ancillaries including oil, water & fuel pumpsAbility to work from 1 st principals in concept design work utilising problem solving skillsWork alongside engineering team to ensure design is optimised for manufactureTo liaise with design team & Chief Engineer to resolve design issues.

Create CAD models & layout of engineering drawingsTo create engineering reportsWhat You Will Need:
As Senior Mechanical Design Engineer;Degree qualified Engineer with a minimum of 3years industry experienceProven ability in one of the leading 3D CAD modelling packagesExperience of designing with both metals and plastic materialsKnowledge/experience in concept design workKnowledge of rotating components such as bearings, seals, gears, pulleys would be advantageous
