Second Home Studio and Cafe is an independent cafe + open art studio in Aberdeen's City Centre. At Second Home, we encourage creativity in a relaxed, informal setting while providing great food and drink.

We're looking for enthusiastic, creative kitchen staff to join us.

As kitchen staff, you will required to work with the team to create exciting dishes, while also sharing responsibility with front of house team members.

Our space is quite small which creates a close-knit and fun working environment.


Our menu changes seasonally so you will have the opportunity to build the menu in collaboration with the team and really put your own stamp on things.

Our opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday daytimes, with very occasional Sunday brunches and the odd catering job.

As kitchen staff, some of your core responsibilities include:

  • Food prep and orders.
  • Making dishes whilst paying attention to details.
  • Maintaining a high level of cleanliness
  • Attention to food hygiene standards
  • Occasionally taking orders, customer service.
  • Communicate customer feedback and working as a team.
