Responsibilities:

  • Greet and checkin clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
  • Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's appointment calendar
  • Maintain accurate client records and update pet information in the system
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks as needed
  • Process payments and handle financial transactions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
This part-time role covers 4 days, working a split shift, with the inclusion of a 1:3 Saturday rota

  • Tuesday from 8.45am til 11.30am, returning at 13.45pm til 18.45pm (Stamford Surgery)
  • Wednesday from 8.30am til 12.30pm, returning at 4.30pm til 7.00pm (Peterborough Surgery)
  • Thursday from 8.45am til 12.30pm (Alternate Thursday's
  • Stamford Surgery)
  • Friday from 8.45am til 11.30am, returning at 13.45pm til 18.45pm (1:3 Friday's at Peterborough Surgery)
  • 1 : 3 Saturday's from 8.45am til 1.00pm
  • Timings may differ due to holiday cover, late surgery.
  • Time will be split between our Stamford and Peterborough surgeries.
The position will best suit a flexible, enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and exemplary communication skills.

You should be able to remain calm under pressure, multitask and prioritise your workload whilst maintaining a friendly and welcoming disposition.

This is a rewarding but busy and demanding role.


Whilst you would be joining a great team of vets and nurses you should be confident in solely managing reception.
