You will take a leading role in managing Asda's energy cost exposure and driving part of Asda's ESG commitment, specifically Asda's aim to be a net-zero carbon business by a journey that includes reducing Green House Gas emissions (Scope 1 and 2)by 50%.
Your Role
- Monitor market developments and execute the energy risk management policy.
- Develop relationships with suppliers and other providers so that Asda is perceived as a highquality partner
- Manage RFQprocesses for suppliers, PPAs and other service providers
- Manage energy contract performance from providers such as suppliers, PPA Developers and consultancy partners
- Review aggregate consumption patterns and forecasts (in conjunction with Property and thirdparty service providers) to ensure contractual conditions satisfy business requirements
- Input into the selection and onboarding of new specialist service providers
- Develop supply chains for opportunities to reduce Asda's environmental impact
- Manage project delivery, undertake analysis required and present outcomes.
About You
- The role requires extensive utility experience and sector knowledge including an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the different operational parties
- The role requires the ability to think creatively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects.
