Extruder Operator

Job Type:
Permanent

Salary:
£12 per hour, with the potential to rise to £15.60 depending on performance.

Shift Pattern:

The hours are Days and nights, 4 Days Monday - Thursday 6am - 6pm, the week after 4 Nights Monday Night - Friday Morning, 6pm - 6am.


Holidays:23 days per year, 11 days fixed, 12 choice days, slightly different each year depending on Christmas.

The Role:


As an Extruder Operator, you'll play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process, operating and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality products.


You will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and calibrating extrusion machinery.
  • Monitoring the extrusion process and making necessary adjustments.
  • Conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Collaborating with the quality control team to meet production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate extrusion machinery to achieve production goals.
  • Perform setups, adjustments, and troubleshoot for optimal machine performance.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Regular maintenance and cleaning of machinery.
  • Record production data accurately.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements:

  • Preferred previous experience in extrusion operations or similar manufacturing roles.
  • Strong mechanical skills and understanding of extrusion processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret production documents.
  • Excellent problemsolving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work assigned night shifts.

Pay:
£12.00-£15.60 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
