Working as part of a dynamic Human Resources function, the HR Specialist will deliver a progressiveadvisory and support service to the Company on all HR related issues whilst managing and implementing key specialist projects.

The role:

  • As HR Specialist you will provide a comprehensive HR support and advice service to management and employees. This will include provide advice in relation to absence management, discipline, grievance, flexible working requests, family leave, changes to terms,etc. As well as manage general and specific HR queries, developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working closely with trade unions and supporting with note taking, contracts, drafting letters and managing absence reviews.
  • You will work closely with senior stakeholders and offer coaching and development to managers on HR and people process.
  • The business has an international presence so you will support with international assignments/mobility, liaising with group colleagues, assisting with sponsorship, visa and work permit requirements.
  • They are also going through an exciting time of growth so you will be involved in a range of strategic project work and contribute to continuous improvement measures within the department.

The experience:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or equivalent.
  • Excellent practical experience working as a HR Advisor in a generalist role.
  • Experience coaching managers and supporting on employee relations and managing casework
  • Previous experience gained within a manufacturing or unionised environment, ideally multisite
  • A confident communicator with the ability to challenge and influence in a positive manner.
  • Up to date with knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Possess an intermediate standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook) and SAP experience would be advantageous but not essential.
  • A full UK driving licence.
The Offer

  • Salary up to £35,000
  • Pension: Employer contribution 8%, which comes with two years annual salary as life assurance.
  • It is a 37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 5:00pm
  • 25 days annual leave plus all the bank holidays
  • Learning and Development is actively encouraged, including funded CIPD qualifications.
