Are you looking for a role that offers you the opportunity to play a part in energy transition?

Global E&C have a requirement for a Lead Estimator to join the team in Aberdeen on a permanent basis. You will be supporting our modular division, who are a key gateway into energy transition work-scopes.

You will play a leading role in ensuring consistency in process, software use and management of the estimating service and resources across all contracts/clients.

Your duties will include:

  • Attend a selection of cost, estimating and scope review meetings across all contracts to ensure quality and effectiveness is maintained.
  • Providing ad-hoc assistance/standing in for other Estimators, as required/necessary.
  • Regularly auditing estimates, quotations, BoE, reports and deliverables to ensure consistency of application use.
  • Selection and appointment/removal of Estimators and their development, as required.
  • Defining, running and managing all cross contract/client estimating processes.
  • Interfacing with the Cost and Planning Leads to ensure alignment of process, deliverables and systems where appropriate.
  • You will own a continuous business improvement plan in conjunction with the respective project control functions.

To be successful in this role you should ideally be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a senior cost estimating role with demonstrable team leading abilities.
  • Experience within EPC / Projects environment desirable.
  • Demonstrable expert knowledge and application of estimating industry standards.
  • Organising, chairing meetings and presentation skills critical.
  • Business planning/commercial awareness.
  • Expert Excel skills and experience with estimation packages.
  • HNC or higher qualifications preferred.
  • Facilitation experience desirable.
  • Procedure and work instruction writing experience desirable.
