Office Attendance:

  • Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our either the Glasgow, Edinburgh or Newcastle office 12 days per week for this position.

We're looking for a
Data Governance Lead to join our Insurance Money and Services team.

What you'll be doing

  • Act as the primary expert for all Data Governance matters at IMS, including advancing and enforcing the framework, policy, and standards.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of Data Governance concepts such as data quality, definitions, ownership, and retention.
  • Oversee the Data Governance policy roll out across the business improving its maturity and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage datarelated risks through effective governance and control measures.
  • Lead the development of centralised Data Governance activity including the development and implementation of quality, lineage, and retention assets.
  • Work closely with data owners, stewards, and custodians to educate and support them in understanding their roles and responsibilities.

We need you to have

  • Experience of Data Governance policies, standards, and control implementation
  • Experience of Data Quality tooling
  • Team leading experience
  • Demonstrate SQL, Excel, PowerBI and insight skills.

And if you have any of these, even better

  • Financial services experience
  • DAMA or EDM Council or similar Data Governance qualifications
