Ayesa is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to spearhead our Water Structures capability, focusing on the delivery of projects in the UK and Saudi Arabia.

This pivotal role requires an experienced structural engineering expert with water and wastewater experience to elevate our service offering to UK contractors and consultants.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering projects, providing technical direction, and mentoring junior engineers.


This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Lead Structural Engineer to drive impactful water and wastewater projects in Saudi Arabia and the UK.

Key Accountabilities:

nLead project teams to deliver high-quality services to clients.nIntegrate within multidisciplinary design teams to deliver robust solutions.nInterface with various engineering disciplines, including civil, geotechnical, process, and M&E.nProvide technical direction and mentorship to Structural Design Engineers and graduate engineers.nManage projects within time, cost, and quality constraints, adhering to standards.nRepresent and promote Ayesa professionally, fostering effective client relationships.nAssist in tender submissions and contribute to estimating and pricing.nEnsure compliance with Codes of Practice, Design Standards, and Health & Safety Regulations.nManage projects in accordance with Ayesa's Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring staff awareness and compliance.


Experience Criteria:

nDegree or Master's in Civil or Structural Engineering.nMinimum of 10 years' experience in structural design engineering.nChartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers or equivalent professional body.


Skills & Knowledge:

nExpert understanding of Structural Design and Analysis principles.nExtensive experience in contractor design and temporary works.nProven track record in water and wastewater structures or related civil engineering aspects.nDemonstrated ability in delivering detailed design engineering solutions for structural projects in the UK/Ireland.nIn-depth knowledge of current codes and standards, including Eurocodes.nStrong understanding of building and structural components.nInnovative problem-solving skills and strong work ethic.nExcellent communication and client relationship-building skills.nCommitment to Continued Professional Development.
