Job Description

Our client is a leading PE backed professional services consultancy group that has experienced significant growth through organic expansion and acquisitions. The company is currently preparing for an exit strategy, and the CFO is seeking an experienced FP&A lead to drive financial decision-making and business performance. This position is initially on an interim basis with the potential for permanent placement after the transaction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the FP&A function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Manage and develop budgeting processes for P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting key trends, opportunities, and risks to senior management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and analysis for strategic decision support
  • Partner with department heads and business leaders to understand financial needs and provide insightful analysis
  • Prepare monthly board packs, KPIs, and information required by investors
  • Support audit requirements, particularly crucial due to the planned transaction

Key requirements for the role:

  • Graduate level education with proven academic success
  • Qualified UK Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Prior FP&A management experience
  • Experience in professional services, particularly time sheets and billing
  • Commercially driven with strong business acumen
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with C-suite and department heads
